Saltvolley

What this game does with information on your device, what it sends anywhere, and what you can do about it.

Application: Saltvolley Package: com.deepgridworks.saltvolley Publisher: RAILWORKS MAINTENANCE LTD Effective date: 18 August 2026

§01 Who we are

Saltvolley is a mobile game published by RAILWORKS MAINTENANCE LTD, a company registered in England and Wales with its registered office at 20–22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU, United Kingdom. We develop and maintain the game and we are the data controller for any personal data described in this policy.

You can reach us at rail@railworksmaintenance.work about anything in this document.

§02 The short version

Saltvolley has no accounts, no login, no adverts and no game server. It does not ask for your name, email or phone number. Your fleet placements, match results and statistics are saved on your own device and nowhere else. Uninstalling the game deletes them.

The sections below give the detail, including the limited technical information that reaches Google because the game is distributed through Google Play.

§03 Game data stored on your device

The game saves your progress locally: your fleet placements, the state of a match in progress, your win and loss record, accuracy statistics, chosen difficulty level, and your sound and display settings. All of this is written to the app's private storage area, which other applications on your phone cannot read.

None of it is transmitted to us. We operate no game server, no online multiplayer and no leaderboard, and we hold no copy of your results. The opponent you play against is computed on your own phone.

To erase everything, either uninstall the game, or open Android Settings → Apps → Saltvolley → Storage → Clear storage. Clearing storage resets all statistics permanently and cannot be undone.

§04 Permissions

Saltvolley requests no runtime permissions. It does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, files, location, call logs or SMS, and it does not require internet access to play.

Pass-and-play games take place entirely on the one device being handed between players — nothing is sent over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or any network.

If a future version needs a permission in order to deliver a feature, Android will ask you at the moment you use that feature, and this policy will be updated before that version is published.

§05 Third-party services

Saltvolley contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs and no social network integrations. We do not build profiles of players, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell or share data with data brokers.

The game is distributed through Google Play. Google separately collects installation, crash and device information under its own terms, which we do not control — see the Google Privacy Policy. Where the app includes Google Play services libraries, those libraries may process technical identifiers such as device model, Android version and an advertising ID for the purposes Google describes. We do not receive that information in a form that identifies you.

§06 Children

Saltvolley does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the game collects no personal data from any player, it holds none belonging to a child.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information — for example by writing to our support address — contact us and we will delete it.

§07 Support correspondence

If you email us, we hold your message and email address for as long as it takes to deal with your query, and for up to 24 months afterwards so that we can recognise follow-up messages. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing support. We do not add your address to any mailing list.

§08 Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you may request access to your personal data, correction of it, erasure of it, restriction of its processing, and portability, and you may object to processing. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

To exercise any of these, email rail@railworksmaintenance.work. We respond within one month.

§09 Security

Game data lives in Android's app-private sandbox, isolated from other applications. Because nothing is transmitted, there is no data in transit for us to protect and no database of ours that could be breached. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to the limited information we do handle, though no method of electronic storage is completely secure.

§10 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the game changes or when the law requires it. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect. If a future release starts collecting information that this version does not describe, we will publish the updated policy before that release goes live.
